Jody Garry: summer of ’97 touring professionally in Italy and played in the California Beach Volleyball Association, making her way into the top 20 rankings while earning a AAA rating

Rheann Fall: MVP of the Delta River League her senior year, MVP Sacramento Evening Optomist senior allstar senior showcase, and first team all-league for the Delta River League. First All-American Volleyball player in Cal State Monterey Bay history. Otter all-time leader in kills, attacks, aces and points. Two-time first team All-CCAA selection and AVCA All-American in 2010

Lacee Ventura: ESPN Central Coast Student Athlete of the Week in 2013.

Chloe Goldman: She received All-American Honors, All-South Region First Team, 2009 SEC Libero of the Year and All-SEC first team. She led the conference in digs per set every year and acquired over 600 digs in each season. She currently holds almost every dig record at the University of Tennessee and stands 4th all time for career digs in SEC history. Chloe helped led her team to the NCAA tournament three out of the four years and helped receive a national ranking as high as 5th. The spring of her senior year she was invited to try out for the Olympic team with a few of her teammates.

Israel Ricardez: Israel has received multiple honors during his career such as, Most Valuable Player for the Tri County Athletic League, first team All-League in 2004 and 2005, all Central Coast Section, and a TCAL title in 2005. Israel played club volleyball for Monterey Bay Volleyball Club from 2002-2005. He received NCVA first team selection as a setter. He enjoyed a successful beach career earning an AA ranking. Israels first season at MPC was the most successful season MPC has had in twenty-seven years. Israel was named the Monterey Herald All County Coach of the Year in 2008.

Jessica Malcolm: Jessica is now a sophomore at CSUMB where she was awarded second team All–CCAA selection in 2013. She attended Lodi High School, Jessica played three seasons of varsity ball and helped the Flames win the San Joaquin Athletic Association Championship in 2009 & 2011, named SJAA MVP, the 2010 SJAA Hitter of the Year also named all–area by the Stockton Record in 2009 and 2010. Jessica played club ball with Delta Valley VBC, Ripon Rage, and NorCal Select.

Shelby Goldman: Shelby was a three year varsity letter winner who helped lead her team to a league title her junior season. She received all league honors both as a junior and senior. While at Menlo College she helped lead her team to two undefeated conference titles (14-0, 12-0), a conference tournament championship, and two national tournament appearances. She currently sits at number 2 on the all-time digs list and was in the top 2 for aces and digs every year while playing for the Oaks. This will be Shelby’s 4th year coaching club. Shelby previously coached at Paye’s/NexxtVolleyball Club and Monsoon/Encore Volleyball Club which included a 13s team which came in 10th in regionals, #1 overall for the 13s and a 16s Team which won the silver division. She also was an Assistant for the Encore 18s Team who finished 7th in the open division at Nationals in 2013.

Dane Holmgren: Voted the 2010 Coastal League Player of the Year, Holmgren was a four-year captain for the Eagles as the starting varsity setter. He was a three-time All-Costal League first-team selection. In his senior year, Holmgren led the team to a runner-up in the Division IV San Diego Section CIF finals and Division III California State Championship game at UC Irvine.

Rachel Cookus: Rachel was named 2010 Player of the Year by the Ventura Star–News also a three–time Marmonte League co–MVP she shared the 2011 title with high school and Otter teammate Summer Esseff. She is a two–time L.A. Daily News All–Area first team selection. Rachel played club volleyball for LAVA under the direction of three–time U.S. Olympian Jeff Stork.

Sean Madden: Sean Madden has coached all levels from juniors to senior national teams during his 22-year career, including 13 years at the NCAA Division I level and roles with both the USA men’s and women’s national team programs. He has coached on four continents, and shared his knowledge of the game in numerous articles, books, instructional videos, and clinics.

Nikki Madden: As Nikki Wallace, she led perennial powerhouse University of San Diego to the first of its 17 NCAA Division I tournament appearances. In the process, her high-percentage hitting earned multiple all-conference and all-region honors and she set all-time USD single season and career records for total blocks that still stand today. Following her USD career, Nikki played professionally in California for the San Diego Spikers and San Jose Storm, and in Belgium for the Volley Temse Dames.

Leanna Moleta: She was four time all-alpha league selection. In 2011 she was elected to the all-CIF Southern Section Division III honoree. She played club volleyball with Legacy Volleyball Club. With Legacy Volleyball Club, her team won 17s division championship at the 2011 Volleyball Festival. Outside of club ball, Leana’s SCVA High Performance Select team took the gold medal at the 2009 USAV Championships.
