About the Club

City Beach Volleyball Club is one of the few clubs in Northern California to have its own facility. There are two City Beach facilities: one in Fremont, and one in Santa Clara (map). This Santa Clara facility has 5 courts and a weight room, and it is the primary practice location for the all City Beach teams.

City Beach will host more than 30 different teams for the 2013 season. At all levels, regardless of the amount of playing time, each player receives the same quality instruction from coaches who care about their development and foster a positive and sportsmanlike environment. They have a training and management structure in place that helps coaches collaborate and ensures that each player is being provided the highest quality of coaching. City Beach strives to teach players how to learn, apply themselves fully, develop habits that will make them successful, and how to play the game of volleyball.

City Beach teams compete in the tournaments run by the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA). City Beach offers Power teams that will travel and play in the NCVA power league. They have Area teams that do not require travel and play in the NCVA area league and local tournaments. City Beach also offers an Invitational team which plays only in large, monthly tournaments offered by the NCVA and has one traveling tournament to a national qualifier.

City Beach has been a presence in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1991. First founded in Emeryville as an indoor volleyball court and event facility, City Beach was expanded into Santa Clara in 1995, where they launched our thriving Junior Volleyball League. In 2001, City Beach in Fremont celebrated its grand opening. Today, City Beach operates in both the Santa Clara and Fremont facilities, providing fun and entertainment as well as opportunities to grow, engage and improve your relationships.
