About the Club
Endline has carried boys and girls teams in each year of its existence. The boys NCVA league only offers Power teams, and we have dutifully competed each year, and in June 2009 our Endline 18 Black boys team traveled to the SCVA Boys Invitational to compete against the best teams in the country. Their teams have produced many players who have gone on to play in colleges like San Jose State University, UC Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara City College, and more.
Endline carried only Area league girls teams for the first three years and began to carry Power league teams in the 2009-2010 season. Beginning in their second season, the girls Area league teams began to score victories over well-established Area league clubs and serve notice that we were a rapidly up-and-coming club with talented players and coaches.
To push the competitive envelope that Endline felt some of the players needed to develop more rapidly, Endline began to carry Power league girls teams in the 2009-2010 season. Once again, beginning in their second season, their Power teams have already scored some victories over elite teams and again are serving notice to the volleyball community that we are a rapidly developing club.
Endline will not be fielding more teams than they have quality coaches or have gym space for. Going forward, it is their intention to expand both from a numbers standpoint and also geographically, and they are looking forward to providing the Endline experience to as many interested kids as possible. But they will not favor quantity in favor of quality.
Endline Volleyball Club, LLC, was started in March 2007 by Daniel Kwon and Kevin Hwang. The original plan was to try to retire and go to Hawaii to start a volleyball club. Then, realizing that retirement was not as close as they had hoped, they decided to fill the volleyball void in the Fremont/Tri-City area, where they just happened to coach boys volleyball at Mission San Jose High School. They realized the need for year-round play and decided after their third year to do something about it.
One thing lead to another and now, in their fifth season, they are attracting boys and girls from all over the Fremont/Tri-City area and the greater Bay Area, including Gilroy, Milpitas, San Jose, Castro Valley and Palo Alto.
