About the Club
The Stingray Volleyball Club is a high performance, competitive, girl’s volleyball club located in Northern California. Their goal is to provide a positive coaching environment where they can:
- develop each player’s volleyball skills to the next level
- promote team pride and self-esteem
- inspire a strong work ethic and winning attitude
- encourage good sportsmanship
- practice solid team work and stress the importance of every team member
- maintain each player’s love for the game of volleyball and to insure they continue to have fun
This year they will be having a special program called the Stingray Juniors. It will be a developmental program specifically for girls ages 8 through 12. This team will practice once a week on the weekend and play a limited tournament schedule.
Area teams are for girls that have not had a lot of experience playing volleyball and girls who want to play club volleyball but do not have the time to commit to a Power team. The Area teams will play in all of the scheduled NCVA Area League tournaments. Area League tournaments are usually scheduled so that the facility you are driving to is within a 90 minute drive.
Power teams require more of a commitment. They will play in all of the NCVA Power league tournaments and 4 additional outside tournaments including a National Qualifying tournament that will be held in Reno. Power teams may be required to travel a greater distance to tournaments.
